What is the commitment of playing for Storm King?
Year round development is available. At a minimum, teams are together from June/July through November/December. The Select soccer Fall season is longer than Rec soccer. The ultimate goal is to make soccer a sustainable part of the players’ and families’ lives so that they want to keep playing all year.
What is the cost of Storm King?
The registration cost for the 2021-22 season is $400. This cost covers coaching certifications, player insurance, field time, the cost of field maintenance, league fees, referee payments, and other expenses. In addition to registration fee players will need to purchase a uniform. The cost ranges around $100 for a full kit of 2 jerserys, shorts, and socks. Additional Storm King FC swag is available.
How many teams does Storm King form?
The number of teams is directly related to the level of interest. The club can help identify coaches if an age group cannot find one but teams must provide a manager or team parents.
Occasionally there is demand for more than one team for an age group. Storm King has worked toward fielding teams with true age players but play-ups (a U12 player playing on a U13 team for example) are allowed when no other team exists.
What are my volunteer responsibilities?
- Field Maintenance
Each registrant is required to dedicate one day a year to maintaining Agnew fields and buildings.
- Board and Committee Volunteers
Storm King is an all volunteer club comprised of volunteer board members, head and assistant coaches, team managers and maintenance people. Those interested in helping the club can contact any board member.
